Brett Mangum grew up in Prescott Arizona and graduated from Prescott High School. His college experience culminated when he graduated from the University of Michigan with a dental degree in 2001. Dr. Mangum began his dental career as an active duty naval dentist. He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Naval Dental Center Southwest, in San Diego California. This residency gave him additional training in areas of general dentistry, endodontics (root canals), oral surgery, orthodontics, periodontics (gums and bone), and prosthodontics (fixed and removable dental prosthesis). After his residency he received orders to Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona where he served for three years. During his duty in Yuma he had the opportunity to work in a local private practice where he received additional experience in pediatric dentistry. In August 2004, Dr. Mangum deployed to Iraq in support of operation Iraqi Freedom. He served as officer in charge of a mobile dental team. Upon returning from Iraq, Dr. Mangum moved back to Prescott and joined his father in private dental practice. Mangum Dental has been serving the community since 1978. Dr. Brett Mangum and his wife Nicole are parents of two girls and two boys. When not doing dentistry Brett enjoys time with his family, working in the yard, riding horses, leading boy scouts, serving in the church, and following college football.
