They are great. Our regular vet took care of everything for us. They had a whole grief process and let us stay with our dog as we had to put he to sleep. It was really nice. Am ALWAYS happy with the treatment, staff, results, etc. My dog had a dental cleaning there and his teeth looked like a puppy's again....most recently had a low grade emergency...I was seen the same day, correctly diagnosed and tested and given meds within 2 hours. The situation could've gotten ugly but with their help we caught things in time...prices are reasonable and they really know their stuff..I can always get in same day, never wait more than a few minutes...the vets call me personally for follow-ups. It doesn't get any better than this...I trust them implicity. Nice mix of older more experienced docs and newer recent grad docs. Everyone VERY nice and professional. Real pro's. (Hide)

Their office is within walking distance from my house. They do not have horrible prices and seem to know what they are doing, but walking in there is like walking into a used car dealership, you get upsold into things that are not necessary. The w... They do not have horrible prices and seem to know what they are doing, but walking in there is like walking into a used car dealership, you get upsold into things that are not necessary. The worst part was that they make you feel like you are skimping out of your pets health if you don't do what they recommend. I never left there with less than a $200 bill. The ¿Best¿ Vets in Delaware County! Murphy, the dachshund, Murph gave me a real scare about 3 weeks ago. All of a sudden he was very sick. Listless, not jumping, not eating, didn¿t bark, just slept. I had no idea what might be wrong but suspected... (More) The ¿Best¿ Vets in Delaware County! Murphy, the dachshund, Murph gave me a real scare about 3 weeks ago. All of a sudden he was very sick. Listless, not jumping, not eating, didn¿t bark, just slept. I had no idea what might be wrong but suspected it might be a reaction to some ¿all natural, freeze-dried¿ food that I had given him a couple of days before. (it wasn¿t that) I took him to the vet. By this time his fever was over 105°. They decided he needed to stay at the hospital so they could check for ecoli, salmonella and possibly a tick infection. They did X-rays in case he had done something to his back ¿ a real problem for doxies since their vertebrate is a little different from other breeds. They also took blood for a complete blood test. After a couple of days when there was no improvement, they asked me to bring some chicken to see if he would eat for me, plus it might be helpful f (Hide)

They took good care of my dog & went over everything with me for her care. I also now can check up on her appointments & medication from their web site they offer free. I was told that all doctors were scheduling at least 2 weeks out for new patients. I kept calling around and Best Friends was the only place I found that could get my little boy in the same day! Same old story. You move away to a new city. New utilities. New home. New grocery shopping and gas stations. And a new vet. Not just any new vet, mind you. You've got to find one like the terrific office you left behind at home. The people who care... (More) Same old story. You move away to a new city. New utilities. New home. New grocery shopping and gas stations. And a new vet. Not just any new vet, mind you. You've got to find one like the terrific office you left behind at home. The people who care as much as you do. The people who wept with you when you put your 9-year old Lucy down - even though you'd rescued her only 9 months earlier. The people who were thrilled when, just days later, you walked in with another old girl rescued from the shelter. Those people who were willing to take the extra steps to ensure she had a great chance. The same people who sighed relief with you when she passed through the cancer surgery with flying colors and celebrated when she walked in at 82 lbs, a mere shadow of her 114 lb girth at adoption. After one visit I certainly can't say that Best Friends is all of that, but I can say that I get that same feeling. And that's a terrific start! Active in the community. Personable staff. While I hope we don't have to spend too much time at Best Friends - at least not being examined - I feel that Molly is in splendid hands! Kudos for investing in a front office staff rather than taking the position that so many practices do - that the people up front are just bodies to do a job. On the phone, Mike could sense I wanted Molly to be seen soon, and was eager to set an appointment. When I walked in, everyone was so welcoming and positive. The place was immaculate and the pictures, posters and other materials showed an office that cares about its humans, its animals and its community! Professional. Caring. Compassionate. Looking at going the extra mile. Dr. Latimer rocks! Oh yeah...did I say Dr. Latimer rocks? (Hide)

(More) Everytime we call which seems to be often with one of our pets, the service is always outstanding. Those that answer the phones are always polite, helpful. Dr. Riggs and Ritchie have always taken outstanding care of our past and current pets. Our dog Sampson just adores Dr Riggs and every time he sees him Sampson is wagging his tail and giving Dr Riggs a few kisses! Dr Riggs and Ritchie have always taken such good care of our pets. They always answer my million questions. Recently Dr Ritchie found a slight heart murmor on Sampson and called us at home that night to discuss it, it is such a nice feeling to know our furry kids are so well looked after. We really love the care our pets get, the Dr's and faculty are wonderful and make you feel comfortable. I volunteer with a local dog/cat rescue one of my jobs there is I am in charge of all applications. Whenever an applicant ask for a vet recommendation I always give Best Friends Information, we also recommend them to friends and family we couldn't ask for better care and we know anyone we refer there will be just as impressed and happy as we are with Best Friends. Rex was the only vet Hogan ever saw, from the day we got him to his last day. With our brand new puppy, I'm sure Rex thought we were crazy when we called him every time the dog sneezed. But he gave Hogan the best care and the entire staff at Best Friends cared for him like he was his own. When we got our new Aussie, Scarlett, her first trip after we got her home was to see "Dr. Rex". We probably drive past 15 vets on the way to Best Friends, but there isn't another place we'd ever take our puppies. We couldn't give Rex and Best Friends a strong enough recommendation.¿ (Hide)
