Why do I drive way out to this place to board my dogs? Because I love them! Burley's is not like every other kennel. They owner loves dogs and makes sure they are getting the attention and exercise they need.

I do not have enough positive words to describe what Wendy has done with my Portugese Water Dog (18 mos.) He and I went for about 4 half hr lessons once a week and then I left him for 5 !/2 weeks - visiting him on weekends. I brought him home a week ago. Is this my dog? He is a model of amazing obedience. He has always jumped on people - now a friend came over when I wasn't even home and my dog greeted him at the door with a chew toy in his mouth and then went to his bed and laid down!!! My friend now wants to take his dog to Wendy. This is only one example. Overall - my dog is the best behaved dog I have ever seen. He heels, comes when he is called, parks his body on his bed while I eat and on and on. He is not only so well behaved - he is no longer a bit hyper. And yes - I do exercise him - as in run him every somewhat reasonable weather day. Wendy made it clear to me if I want a great dog, I need to meet his needs too. This is one of the best investments I have ever made!

We left our older rescue collie with Wendy for a two week period and then had to extend it to three weeks. This was our first time there and from my preview visit onward Wendy made me feel so comfortable regarding her ability to understand, and meet the needs of any dog in her care. Dogs are not just put in a kennel and fed and cleaned up after, she lets them out to run and play several times a day. When I picked Maggie up she was sleeping comfortably on a big chair in the reception area. She was happy to see me, but also snuggling up to Wendy. I could see my dog felt Wendy's love for her. I will definitely use her services again.

We were thrilled to discover Burleys Dog Ranch. Previous attempts to board Luca at another kennel were stressful for her. Initially, Luca and Enzo, our sons dog, spent a weekend together at the ranch as a test run and then 11 days there while we were on vacation. Wendy worked hard to comfort our skittish dog. When Luca returned for the longer stay, she wagged happily when she saw Wendy. The ranch has a homey atmosphere with lots of attention and outside time. The straw bedding was greatno doggie smell at all after 11 days. They were happy, healthy and showed no signs of stress when we picked them up.

Wonderful boarding and love for your dogs. We took our dogs there for the first time and they loved it, and Wendy. Everything was smooth and easy, plus the dogs came home happy and healthy. They didn't seem stressed out at all. The best part is Wendy will take dogs of any temperment and adjust their experience accordingly. If your dog is social they get to spend most of the day outside on the 10 acre property together. If they are anti-social they get private time in a separate outdoor area. Wendy clearly gets to know the dogs, their personalities, their needs and just wants to make sure they are happy. Highly recommended!

Not your average impersonal kennel. This is more like a camp for dogs and kind of what you would expect if you had a good friend (with 10 acres) watch your dog. Recommend!

Wendy is Portland's very own "Dog Whisperer". She has a wonderful outside exercise area for the dogs to play in and be socialized. She is also excellent at training dogs! I highly recommend her!

Wendy is the best!! Before finding Burley's Dog Ranch, I was convinced I would never find that perfect home away from home for my kids (dogs). My Weimaraners love Wendy and get super excited when we get close to the ranch. Every single time they are happy, healthy, and totally relaxed when we pick them up; not even a hint of stress. We do not trust anyone with our dogs as much as we trust Wendy . . . not even family :-)

I have put my dogs in 3 different kennels and Burleys was by far the BEST EVER! The woman who owns and runs it is super sweet and she really cares about the dogs she takes care of. Our dogs got lots of exercise and social time with other dogs. She told us how our dogs played with other dogs, how they ate, etc. I could tell she really took the time to get to know our dogs and gave them the love and care they needed. My husband and I go to Hornings Hideout every year to see the String Cheese Incident. We will definitely put our dogs at Burley's in the years to come!

Wendy and her family have been amazing. Our dog Stout loves to go to Burley's, he gets excited on the drive out there especially when we start climbing the hill to get to their location. Wendy has been great to us as well being extremely flexible on a number of occassions where we have had to change out schedule. I would highly recommend Burley's to anyone.

This place is amazing!! My two dogs were so happy here. They did not want to leave. I highly recommend Burley's Dog Ranch for everyone. They treated our dogs like they were their own dogs. No worries for me while on vacation! We will be back for sure.

My dogs are truely my babies and I had never left them with anyone other than family. So when I found out that I was going to HAVE to board them, I was a wreck. Not only were most places over priced, but the daily rate would not have included potty breaks or more than one feeding a day! Not only was wendy affordable, but she gave them more attention then they get on a typical day at home! The one thing that I love most about Wendy is that she loves my dogs! She was always available and willing to talk with me on the phone and raved on and on about all their cute quirks. The apartment that they stayed in had furniture and even a TV where Wendy would hang out with them and let them romp all day! Pierre and Stella will be going back to Wendy the next time we're out of town, and I would highly reccomend that you send your dogs there too! THANKS WENDY- Jade, Chad, Pierre & Stella

The pet "hotels" that we have used in metro-Portland did not provide our dogs with enough stimulation and play time, probably resulting in increased anxiety and mischievousness. Burley's has acres of (enclosed) land for our dogs to play in. By limiting the number of dogs they watch, our dogs get plenty of one-on-one attention time with the family members. Although some may complain that the drive to Burley's is a little far, I think it's completely worth the quality of service and experience versus the city kennels where dogs only play indoors (plus, the drive is quite beautiful).

Amazing place for your loved dogs to stay while you are away! I can not thank Wendy enough for the care she provided for my dog! This is truly a remarkable place.

We have never boarded our dogs before as we were never able to find anyone we were comfortable with until we met Wendy. She has super clean, super comfortable accomodations for the dogs who were NOT in any hurry to go home and leave that "Hotel" any time soon.

Highly recommended by Annie and Bailey (chocolate labs) and their parents too! They didn't want to leave! Very clean, wonderful personal care and lots of TLC. I am very picky about where I kennel and Burley's Dog Ranch is worth the drive from Clark County!
