Western Washington Center for the ARTS521 Bay St, Port Orchard, WA 98366
About Us: Western Washington Center for the Arts is a not-for-profit organization, dedicated to promoting the arts in Kitsap County, and particularly in Port Orchard and the surrounding communities. We are celebrating our 10th season in the "Little Playhouse on the Waterfront." History: In February 2002, Western Washington Center for the Arts, formerly First Onstage Productions, began renovation of our current home, a 1918-historic building on the Port Orchard waterfront, creating a 79-seat venue for live theatre. Our mission is to present, preserve and promote the arts, especially the theatre arts. One element of our vision is to help make Port Orchard and the Kitsap Peninsula a destination for tourism. WWCA is governed by a volunteer board of directors, elected from the community by members of WWCA. Membership in WWCA is gained by purchase of a season subscription or dedicating a minimum of 200 volunteer hours at the theatre in a single year. Ask us about becoming a member of WWCA or about becoming a member of the board of directors. WWCA is totally dependent on volunteers and always interested in "spreading the wealth" achieved through volunteering your time and your talents.
