It's a Monday (and it's not a holiday) and they are closed! No one ever returns phone calls. Not impressed, it's like they don't need your business.

I have cable one at home and at my business with both locations providing Cable, phone and internet. The home internet service is soso but does drop a lot but the Business Service which they advertise as being so wonderful has left us without phone and internet several times and with each outage costing me thousands its very key. I have basic service at my business the Lobby Package, but they change so often it hard to figure out exactly what we have. I did pay for extra HDTV access along with a HD receiver. As of today, after my HD channels went blank, that I was not supposed to be getting those few basic channels in HD even though I paid extra for the service and the receiver. They now say they were giving all of us those channels by mistake and even had the B$%ls to tell they could back bill me. But for now even more money I could get them back. According to them my extra money per month for HD was only for the receiver not the channels. But I do get C-Span and some inspirational Channel. WOW! They must Think us fools! Its the good BAIT and SWITCH and they did not even have the courtesy to let me know . Assume that for some reason what they say is correct and I really expected to pay for HD but not get it and they were providing me these few exotic channels Fox news and some others in HD by mistake for over three years when they take that away do they think we are just going to accept it. Thats just stupid business because they must know that they will get dropped as I am going to do. At my office and my home. There are now other options becoming open in rural Oklahoma and they have been trouble from the start and I cant believe I am saying it but they even make AT&T look desireable. At least their phone service always works.

Terrible customer service, terrible cable provider. Call the local number and it connects me with someone in Arizona. They gave me a specific time frame they were coming and didn't show up, so I called them and they says no it was an all day call. That's not what they told me originally. Go with Dish or DirecTV if you can because Cableone is AWFUL.

Cable One is the definition of bare bones cable television. The systems themselves seem to be very problematic. The contact numbers are rarely helpful as the phone techs after hours are of zero help. The local staff is lazy and rude, though the actual field workers are very polite and friendly. The cable grid in Ponca City is very stressed, which is why there are so many problems with the service as explained to me by a Cable One associate. The physical cost of upgrading has been put off for so long regardless of need, that to alleviate the problems would literally bankrupt the company at this point. This is why the consumer suffers. Economics over ethics. Save yourself the trouble, get satelite tv and DSL/phone line Internet. It certainly wil be the best value for this market.
