I went around to local kennels to check them out. Inevitably, even the best ones are loud, noisy places where someone may, or may not, be there 24/7 to look out for your loved one. I know that if I were put in there, it would drive me crazy, with all that barking night and day nonstop. I just couldn't do that to my little boy, Max. He is as close to me as my own child would be, and our pets depend on us to look out for them. So I use PAI to provide a warm and loving home until I return. I still miss him, and worry a bit if he's OK, but I know he's being taken care of in the best manner possible. Donna, Al, and Nancy are dog lovers like me, and are providing a great service for all our wonderful little friends.

A friend is a host family for Pets Are Inn and told us about how they will keep a pet guest in their home, truly a member of their family while they are there. We receive updates on how "Luckee" is doing, a letter from the host family, and even a few photos of him enjoying himself with his host family. It's so nice to go out of town and know that your furry family member is having such a great time too! We'll never use traditional boarding again, this is just too perfect of a set up! Did a weekend test-run to see how my pups would adjust to their first time away from home. They had such a great time with their critter-sitter, they'll soon be going back for a week-long stay. It is wonderful to leave the details to Al & Donna, who do an expert job with their service. This is THE solution for us when travel prohibits the "kids" from coming along.

We are so fortunate to have found Pets are Inn for our big Yellow Lab, Sandy! We have used them three times and have always been very pleased with each stay. Donna and Alan take time finding the perfect home for her while we are away. Sandy always comes back thoroughly worn out from having such fun with her foster family. We have been using Pets Are Inn for over ten years now and LOVE their service. When we first started using them we had an older, persnickety Maltese. They matched Mort with such a loving home that he wasn't upset with us when we went out of town! We now have a playful, friendly American Eskimo who considers her time at Pets Are Inn as a vacation! We love that our dogs have been able to live as they do at home even while we are away. The service Al, Donna and Nancy provide is top notch! Not to mention that they are extremely wonderful and caring people! We highly recommend Pets Are Inn!!

Our very sweet senior Lhasa Apso needed a place to stay for 6 days and nights. Pets Are Inn provided a wonderful alternative to leaving her in a kennel. Due to a very thorough pre-interview process, we felt Donna, Al, and team knew all the important information about Sandy and we left her in their capable hands. There was great communication, even a photo, while we were away. We felt the host family showered her with love and affection and appreciate very much the care they provided. Thank you!

We love Pets Are Inn because we know our dog will receive love and care from the host families. Donna, Al and Nancy are warm and friendly, and make us feel at ease about leaving our pet. They are efficient and trustworthy, and are happy to discuss any concerns we might have. They are flexible and have been wonderful about helping us when our return trip was delayed. It is especially nice when the host family writes a note detailing the dog's activities and the fun they had caring for her. The seem to love her as much as we do! This is a great service which I would never hesitate to recommend.

We have been using Pets Are Inn for over 10 years and this is the only place we place our dogs when traveling. Al, Donna and team always take extra care to place our kids with the right family if our regular sitter is not available. They are loved, cared for and come home without any reacclimation. We always have rescue dogs that require special care and we know that Pets Are Inn Plano will treat them as well (or better!) than we do. The dogs even sleep on the caretaker's bed at night....who could ask for more!

Each host family is carefully interviewed and selected and they do their very best to pair your dog up with just the right caretaker. Their customer service is top-notch- from scheduling in a timely manner to being on time with their delivery van. It's convenient, it's personal and it gives us great peace of mind knowing our beloved dog is in the hands of loving people! It isn't inexpensive, but either is boarding your pet at 'doggy daycare centers.' Hands down, it's the best value for your money if you want the highest level of care. I highly recommend them to pet owners! Owners, Al and Donna, are great people and love what they do!

Al & Donna are wonderful! Very professional and very friendly & obliviously love what they do! Our Kahlua was very well cared for and very happy when he was delivered back home. We have returned for another stay. I would highly recommend this company, they work very hard to keep your mind at ease. They even called to check on how our dog was doing while I was on the phone calling in from out of town! They love dogs!!!

I only trust my dogs to pets are inn for boarding. I have two - Maltese and Pitt Bull. They are happy to go adn come back extremely happy. I know they are getting the best care available when I am away. I want my pets to have the most close to home experience while I'm gone and that is what I get with Pets Are Inn. Strongly recommend. I adopted a shih tzu in December of last year and we have been inseparable. My family decided to go to Key West for Christmas this year and it was with a lot of angst that I made a reservation. I was so concerned about leaving my little girl! One day, I noticed the Pets Are Inn van and made a note of the phone number. I researched them online and both of us met with them at their office. Although it was difficult when she was picked up, I felt so relieved that she should be in a private home, that she could sleep on top of a bed, and could go outside whenever she wanted. I just made my second appointment with Pets Are Inn and am so comforted by the fact that my baby will be very well taken care of while I'm on a business trip. I'm a little jealous almost! We tell all our friends at the dog park how great it is to have a private "vacation" home in which I know she'll get a lot of attention and will feel part of a family while Mommy's away. Great peace of mind!!

we LOVE pets are inn and the service they provide for our wheaten terrier, june bug! we know she will be part of a family and well attended. she comes back to us relaxed and happy to see us, showing no signs of exhaustion or anxiety. we also enjoy reading her little report card telling us how she did while we were away. when we leave town, pets are inn is our first choice for our girl. we just wish it was a bit less expensive.

Pets Are Inn took care of my precious Boxer, Rosie, for five years. I would not have trusted any one else to do this nor would I have had such a care free time away from her had it not been for Al and Donna. They provided a place for her to stay which fell within the guidelines that I had requested and she was totally happy with the care takers. I have found that anyone I have met with the Pets Are Inn organization to be true animal lovers and have the pet's best interest at heart. My little Rosie has passed on and I have a new little Boxer named Lily. She will be six months old when she first stays with Pets Are Inn for a few days and I have no qualms whatsoever in leaving her in their very capable hands. Your pet is more than a job to them, they are loved, each and everyone. I was even encouraged to call from wherever I was and get a checkup on how Rosie was doing. If that doesn't say a lot for them, what does? Keep up the good work, Al and Donna!

I've been using Pets are Inn for over two years, My dog Charly loves Al and Donna and has a favorite host family who will remain unnamed as we don't want his spot to get taken. The service allows me to relax and know my dog is in good hands whenever I travel. The pick up and drop off service helps tremendously when you have odd flight times and they are very accommodating. My dog always returns from his host home feeling good and happy. I highly recommend Pets are Inn to anyone who loves their pets like their own child. I know the additional cost of pick up service might seem like a lot but it's worth it if you want you pet in loving caring home.

Love this Business! Had to leave town for a quick trip and couldn't take our newly adopted dog with us. We didn't want to leave her in a Kennel atmosphere. They pick up your pet and deliver to a host family that plays, walks & loves your pet while you are away. When you return they bring back your pet. My dog was so happy and I didn't have to worry about her while away. Donna & Al are wonderful. Try it out, SO MUCH BETTER than a kennel and reasonably priced for the excellant service they provide. My family has been using Pets Are Inn since I was in high school in the 80's! Their service provides a sense of comfort that you are continuing to treat your pet like a family member even when you are on vacation. No kennels. Your pet is treated with respect and allowed to carry on their routine - such as free roam of a house, treats, walks, etc. Our Golden has no problem getting into the van to go to "Summer Camp" as we call it. Nothing but positive experiences. Love reading the host family's notes when we get back.

There are not sufficient adjectives for the folks at Pets Are Inn and their host families. When we first used the service, we had an aging pet and traveled considerably. We were so worried about her being well taken care of and at the same time, not disrupting the host family. Our worries were needless! The Pets Are Inn team of Al, Donna and Nancy ensure that the right host family is matched with your pet. Our beloved Lady (who lived until 19 yrs), was at Pets Are Inn for at least her last 5 years and we were never concerned. Our host families were perfect for her and she became like one of theirs. These folks are wonderful, look nowhere else!

Pets are Inn truly cares about your pet. The host families are amazing and wonderful. I think my dog likes them better than me now as she gets her own vacation with them. There is not another service like them around. You can truly trust them to take the best care of your pet while you are away.
