Taylor Allderdice, one of the largest of the Pittsburgh Public School's ten traditional urban high schools, is a comprehensive (grades 9-12) neighborhood school drawing students from nine diverse communities and offering all academic programs at the gifted (CAS), scholars (PSP), and standard academic levels. Seven Applied Technology and Career Development Programs (ATCD) are offered for vocationally-skilled students. Allderdice is accredited by the Middle States Association of College and Secondary Schools and generously supported by active groups of parents, alumni, and business and community organizations. Current support includes ongoing Partnerships in Education with Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. To complement its strong academic programs, Allderdice offers a full range of interscholastic, intramural, and co-curricular clubs reflecting the diversity of its students' backgrounds and interests.
