This review applies to store #3892 - at 257 Wears Valley Rd. Pigeon Forge, TN. March 11, 2015

Everyone at this Auto Zone location was VERY nice and helpful. However, the store Manager - Matthew Bradley - went ABOVE and BEYOND to deliver EXCELLENT customer service.

March 11, 2015 - the last day of our Spring Break Vacation in Pigeon Forge ended up with us stranded at Auto Zone, in the parking lot - with a broken serpentine belt. We were 4 hours away from home and very disappointed because we had planned to drive to North Carolina on that last day to see the Cherokee reservation, bear Zoo and other local attractions. My husband was outside trying to get our serpentine belt on - for over 2 hours - with no luck. We thought we would have to call AAA, get the car towed and spend the last hours of our vacation sitting in a local Mechanic's shop. We had one very disappointed 8 year old little boy - to say the least.

So, the Store Manager (Matthew Bradley) came out and helped my husband get the belt on. With Mr Bradley's help, it only took about 30 minutes to get the belt on, and be back on the road. I was SO happy that our car was fixed and we were on the road again - that I would have hugged his neck and kissed his cheek - if not for fear of freaking him out! LOL

He was VERY helpful, nice and went above and beyond his job description and technical job duties - to help us out. There are not many people that will get under your car, lay on the hard concrete ground - in the most uncomfortable position and hold a bolt down with a wrench AND their hand in about a 3 inch wide opening.... All so you can take your Son to the Bear Zoo. Not only did he do this, he did it without it being in his job description. He is not a mechanic. He is not required to help people do the work on their cars. Technically, he just sells parts and may need to give you a few helpful pointers on how to get the job done. But, Mr Bradley DID help us do the work and for free. My husband knew he needed help - but didn't want to ask. I am not physically able to get under a vehicle (due to ruptured disks in my lower lumbar spine). So, Mr Bradley came out, got under the car and went to work - helping my husband. Without being asked to do so and without complaining - not even once - smiling the whole time and even thanking US for our business.... Yes, he thanked US. Not only did he help us, he was HAPPY to help us.

He is WONDERFUL at his job and even better at being a helpful, caring and compassionate human being. I would give a 10 star rating for Mr Bradley, if I could. I recommend for him to get as much reward and compensation as possible - not only for what he done, but for what he does every day. He deserves a "Manager of the Year" award and a raise, for sure.

Unfortunately good customer service is hard to find these days. And, we (as consumers) often will go out of our way to complain in reviews, when we are angry about our experience. However, I wanted to be sure to praise and commend Mr Bradley and the rest of the employees in the store that day. All of them were SO very helpful, nice and made a super terrible situation a much more pleasant experience. While, this may seem like something small and insignificant to some, this was VERY large and important to us. As, this was our first "real" Family vacation and will be a lasting and timeless memory - for our Son. Of course we wanted it to be fun-filled and pleasantly memorable for him. Without the help of Mr Bradley, it may not have been a totally positive experience. But,because Mr Bradley went out of his way to help us - my son will always have nothing but POSITIVE memories about our trip.

Thank you so much - to the store manager - Matthew Bradley. With your help, our son got to see Cherokee, NC and our vacation ended on a very positive note. For that, our family is forever grateful.
