The Sunday School Ministry of the New Gethsemane Baptist Church convenes each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. With Bible classes available 5 times a week for all ages, there are ample opportunities to study and learn God's Word. The purpose of the Evangelistic Outreach Ministry is to provide clothing and food to those in need not only in the immediate community, but also throughout the city. The Ministry gives personal care bags to persons inflicted with HIV at area AID centers. Also, the Evangelistic Outreach Ministry occasionally performs volunteer work within the prisons, including donating clothes and toys for the women inmates? children. In addition, another phase of the Evangelistic Outreach Ministry, under the direction of Bro. Harrison Spruill visits and conducts prayer service for the shut-ins at home and in nursing homes. Early Morning Worship -8:00 A.M to 9:30 A.M. Sunday School - 9:30 A.M to 10.45 A.M. Morning Worship -11:00 A.M. Bible Study, Wednesday- 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Prayer Meeting Wednesday-8:00 P.M. Communion is the 4th Sunday 8:00 A.M and 11:00 A.M. Baptism is the 4th Sunday - 10:45 A.M. It is the duty of the Deacons to watch over the Membership of the Church and to immediately report any member found to be ill or in distress to the Pastor and Church. The Deacons are to distribute the elements of the Lord?s Supper and to prepare the Candidates for Baptism. The Deaconesses will assist with the Women Candidates. The Deacon and Deaconess Ministries are both encouraged to edify the membership. Furthermore, it is the responsibility of the Deacons to maintain orderly conduct in and around the Church.
