I can't say enough about Michael! Our daughter was married 8/30/13. Michael saw us through the whole process. His vision for using the tulle from my veil to create my daughters gave us a wonderful story and heirloom to treasure (did I mention she looked like a princess?!!)! His customer service is just as stellar as his knowledge of the wedding industry and his talents. He never made us feel anything but important and the wedding party looked phenomenal!!! We called upon Michael after the wedding to repair a tear in my daughter's gown. She never thought it would be the same, but Michael was able to work his magic and put a huge smile back on her face! Thank you Michael!!!

Michael is Awesome! The store is comfortable and relaxing(what you need when your a stressed bride) He is very pleasant to deal with and he will accommodate any of your requests to the best of his ability. I got my dress online and he altered it to perfection! My best friend bought her dress and it was a dress Michael made himself. Very Beautiful! Great Place and I would recommend to anyone I know getting married or in a wedding! Thanks Michael!!!

If you are a relaxed bride and don't care about all the bells and whistles of higher priced bridal shops, then this is the store for you. Michael is laid back and very knowledgable. The shop is small, but for me that was perfect. Its not overwhelming and you feel like you can just relax and take your time. You may have to be patient and wait a few minutes, but Michael is worth it.

Michael is extremely talented. The custom made gowns that I saw in his shop were elegant and beautifully made. The dresses that he sells in the store from other designers' collections are priced more reasonably than any other shop I have seen. Michael truly believes in making everyone feel beautiful in their own dress, and does an amazing job. I highly recommend this shop. It is a gem on the South Shore. In response to some of the comments above, It is unfortuate that you did not give it a try. Though the store lacks the frills that a store like Yolanda's or Priscillas has, that really has nothing to do with the talent within the shop. Michael's resume is quite impressive, and I recommend that all brides go in and at least chat with him. He's also a lot of fun.

I went into Michael's of boston for some alterations on a bridesmaid dress - When I arrived For my appointment the bell rang when I came in the door but, I still waited alone for about 5 minutes in a very shabby showroom with dirty carpeting before a man came out from the back room - he was talking on the phone to someone, and discussing how a previouse customer was not happy, and that she was "kind of a pain anyway" !! He went on talking poorly of this customer in front of me for another 7 minutes or so beforehe acknowledges i was in the room. " Are we Fitting you??? The dressing room is over there" he said rudely. As if i had been there 1000 times and knew the drill, this however was my first time in. I changed into my dress, and stood outside the dressing room - I waited out there for another 10 minutes, while he continued his conversation on the phone in the back room! I am patient...but, not that patient!!! I Got Changed and was heading out whe he asked "What is the problem?"

When I walked into the shop the first thing I noticed was a strong musty odor, not good. The wedding gowns were pretty but were dingy and shop worn. The staff seemed nice enough to their credit. I would hesitate buying or having a gown made here simply because I would worry that my gown would smell musty too.
