My Mother was a long term resident at Eagle Pointe from 2012-2015. I want to express my deepest and sincere thank you to all the staff, who have taken care of Mother during her final stages of Alzheimer's. I have experienced professional relationships that provided quality care and we had constant lines of positive communication in regards to her care. The final stages of Alzheimer's is difficult but the staff at Eagle Pointe have counseled me and cared for my Mother with professional and ethical care for the time she lived there. The nursing staff were caring compassionate and took very good care of our father. The business practices are poor with the new managent. Do not recommend this facility due to the poor business practices. We called several times to pay our balance with our bill. They lost his medicare card, his secondary insurance cards. We gave them again for the third time. Told to call someone in Charleston. We did that and was told that the bill was 592.00 and we would recieve a bill then we receive a bill for almost $9,000.00 from a collection agency. We called to discuss it and not one person could give us a phone number to call. Obviously there are problems and a Medicare audit should be done. Rated less than one.

I must say, Eagle Pointe, is a wonderful facility, with caring and supportive staff. The building is beautiful and as you walk throughout the facility there are odors, made vast improvements in the facility, the staff respond timely to the residents and provide outstanding care to the residents. After reading the other reviews that have been posted, I was shocked and wanted to let everyone that if you've had a bad experience many years ago, you can not solely base experience from the past and the issues that I have read about mo longer exist in this facility. It has been my experience, that the facility and it's staff are caring and supportive and treat the residents with dignity and respect.

I recently worked at Eagle Pointe. I must say it is the nastiest place I've ever stepped foot in! I made several complaints to the Director of Nursing reguarding resident abuse and neglect..and NOTHING was done about it!! Almost every resident has bed sores and pressure ulcers that are NOT well taken care of. Call lights are constantly on and hardly ever answered! Last week I answered a call light on a floor I wasn't working and the resident (in his right mind) said he had been sitting there soiled for 45 minutes with his light on! I stuck it out for about a week, but I could no longer bring myself to go to work when every day I knew I was going to working in a buliding that almost condoned abuse and neglect!

NOT ENOUGH HELP.. NEEDS MORE CUMMUNICATION WITH STAFF AND FAMILIES...HARD TO GET ANWERS WHEN YOU NEED THEM FROM RN'S LPN'S AND MANAGEMENT.....FOR AS BIG AS IT IS ,THERE SEEMS TO BE NO ORGANIZATION TO ANYTHING... UNDERSTAFF MOST OF THE TIME AND DOES NOT SEEM TO BE ABLE TO KEEP HELP.

Not supportive of staff, staff uninvolved with daily care of residents. poor communication between nursing ,cna, and staff heads.( left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.) missed or poor care of residents ,POOR ratio of staff to res for quality care.
