I ate at this diner yesterday and the meal was excellent. A must try is the cream of turkey soup, it is absolutely delicious. I will definitely be going back soon. The atmosphere is great and the service is really good.

Provided by YP.comPositives: wide variety of menu food choices. Generous portions are reasonably priced. They use an outside bakery for delicious pies and cakes. Very friendly and somewhat stable workforce. Owners often present.
Negatives:
A.--The last two times I ate in this diner, I got sick within an hour after leaving the restaurant both times. This is unusual for me since I dine out often and suffer no intestinal problems from a medical perspective. Both times, which were weeks apart, I ate the coleslaw that accompanied my sandwiches, as well as ate salad sandwiches that already contained mayonnaise. Also, I put ketchup from the bottle sitting on our table on my side orders of fried potatoes.
B.--What I did observe from an inside booth next to a window and upon leaving remarked about to the cashier, was the fact that in addition to on our inside table: (1) there were plastic bottles of ketchup sitting on outdoor table tops, possibly for hours, getting overheated by the blazing sun, even at tables with no seated patrons. (2) This was also true for saucers filled with individual cream containers for coffee.
C.-- Regarding the meals that I ate inside and my overall dining experiences on both of these visits:(1) The coleslaw on my sandwich plate did not seem well-refrigerated either time; (2) both times, servers were careless and tended to handle lip surfaces of glasses when serving cold beverages to our table and to other patrons in view--and sometimes this was after the server bussed dirty plates from adjacent tables with no apparent hand washing; (3) although the silverware was pre-wrapped together in paper napkin bundles -one time there was a greasy fingerprint on a spoon making one wonder if the person wrapping silverware ever washed hands first; (4) no extra napkins were on the table if one chose not to use the pre-handled paper napkin to wipe food from a mouth.
D.--The following are some additional general observations: (1) although they offer a vegetable platter, it is highly unusual for this diner to offer freshly steamed choices rather than overcooked or in some odd sauce or previously frozen or jarred or canned varieties; (2)while they offer wonderful pies and cake desserts, they house these bakery items in a refrigerated display tower by the front desk. Each time a server has to cut a slice of one of these products, the sever has to carry the cake or pie all the way back to the kitchen area and than return unused portions back into the distant display case. By carrying the SAME remaining portions of uncovered cakes and pies numerous times back and forth across the room, they are exposing them to increasingly more germs as it is carried past seated customers who may be coughing or sneezing or exiting restrooms; (3) small wrapped butter containers are often touched by unclean fingers then thrown by server on top or under freshly heated bread without regard to sanitation issues; (4) bathrooms are not maintained well and appear in need of better hygiene practices; (5) when this establishment first opened, over a year ago, they were very busy, which is no longer the case.
