New Horizons Country Day School was established as a private Preschool accepting three and four year old children in 1983. After much demand from the growing community in 1986, a two year old classroom and Kindergarten were added as our Preschool classroom space expanded. At this time, the demand for an Elementary program became clear from the surrounding neighborhoods. In 1987, an Elementary program was established. New Horizons Country Day School was purchased by Kim and Jeff Trocin in 1996. Mrs. Kim Trocin had been employed by New Horizons since 1992 as a Kindergarten teacher. In 1999, a new building with the addition of neighboring property, allowed New Horizons to expand the preschool from five to nine classrooms, while expanding Elementary from four to six classrooms.
