The Palm Coast Yacht Club is sponsoring the 26th anniversary of the Palm Coast Holiday Boat Parade on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011. The parade will feature decorated and lighted boats of all sizes. The parade route has been extended to give more people the opportunity to view the parade which over the years has become a Holiday tradition in the Palm Coast community. Boats will assemble in Cimmaron Basin at 5:45 PM, then at 6:00 PM head East to the ICW, turn right and proceed South past Canopy Walk, St. Joe Walkway, Waterfront Park, Island Estates, and Grand Haven. Boats will turn around at the gazebo at Grand Haven and proceed North to the mouth of the Clubhouse Waterway, where they will disperse. These areas offer excellent vantage points for the public to see the lighted boats. We would like to encourage all boats who are able to travel the full distance under power at 5 knots, who have an operable VHF radio, proof of insurance and registration and who can decorate their boat with lights to join in the fun of being in the parade. Any appropriate Holiday music must be broadcast from vessel's onboard system. The registration deadline is Nov. 23, 2011. For further information or to register your boat in the parade, please contact Fleet Captain John Byrd at 386-445-7739 or at email@example.com.
