I'd heard through the grapevine that the Kalbas Brothers, owners of Paige Tractors, were very knowledgeable about old two-cylinder John Deere tractors. Tired of being taken in by shade-tree mechanics, I brought my old JD tractor down from central Oklahoma to have it done right by professionals. While I give them credit for fixing several serious problems and respect their knowledge, it wasn't long after I brought it home before I discovered coolant water leaking in to the engine oil. In a nutshell, I paid them A LOT of money to fix my tractor right and now it sits torn down again needing cylinder head work. Unfortunately, I live too far away to take it back and I'm stuck with it. Unbelievably disappointing. (No need to print my name..........they know who I am.)
