BEDBUGS!!!!

I planned on staying for months while in town for work to save money, after just over a week I left after finding a bedbugs. The person onsite operating the place, terry, who did his best to act intimidating originally told me he owned the place and it was his retirement since getting out of jail, on check out he denied being the owner, acting like I was making it up, and took off his glasses like he was getting ready to do something, Upon leaving I had previously paid up for 5 more days, which he would not refund any of, on top of the $50 non refundable of the $125 security deposit I lost, in addition to the loss I took replacing luggage, I will not risk bringing home now. Also the water line in the room next door was so loud I had to move the bed further away to get sleep, and the sink was clogged the entire duration of my stay, which I mentioned but didn't make a big deal out of, just because there are so few rooms available in the area, the mini fridge froze everything in it no matter the setting, and the microwave was missing the turn table. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had staying anywhere!!!!!!

The staff is wonderful and nice .. But yesterday when I walked in my room and it smelled so bad. The floor in the bathroom was so dirty and smelled like pee. The light in the bathroom didn't work, the fridge was so dirty and smelled as well as dirty sheets. I didn't even have a tv in my room, or telephone. I personally couldn't stay there so I got my money back and came to Super 8. Soo much better.

Everyone was very friendly & helpful. The owners went above and beyond to provide us with a great room. Parking is perfect & it's located very close to everything you might want to see. It was very easy to find the convention center from the hotel. And the prices were fantastic! Thank you Colonial Motor Inn!

I traveled from southern Minnesota to A Colonial Motor Inn in Ottumwa, Iowa. One reason I stayed here was because two other motels I checked refused pets and the Colonial motor inn is very pet friendly. One of the rooms I liked best was the fishing decor room which was filled with fishing decor. Its located in the SW part of town and some of the customers commwnted that this is the quiet part of town. I highly recommend this motel to anyone traveling through or to southern Iowa.

I resently stayed at A colonial Motor Inn. The room was clean and the atmosphere was friendly. The nightly rates are very afordable and I would reccomend this motel to anyone that is traveling or passing through southern Iowa.

THIS UNIQUE LITTLE MOTEL IS A WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY!!! I COULD BRING MY DOG FOR JUST A SMALL, ONE TIME FEE. THE OWNER AND OTHER STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND DO A VERY GOOD JOB AT MAKING SURE YOUR STAY WILL BRING YOU BACK!!! I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL TO ANYONE (ESPECIALLY IF YOUR TRAVELING WITH A DOG), IT'S VERY HARD TO FIND LODGING WHEN YOU HAVE A PET.

SO, IN A NUTSHELL...I KNOW I WILL BE BACK TO STAY AT "A COLONIAL MOTOR INN".
