I am very unhappy with the service I received on a barn call for this vet. Before scheduling the visit to get my horse vaccinated I called ahead and asked for the prices to make sure I was budgeting correctly. I specifically mentioned that there were some small bumps in my horse's ear and on his side. On the phone I was told the total for the visit would be ~$86 (a barn call fee and vaccine fee). On the day of the visit the total came to $151! Confused I payed and then a day later requested a breakdown of the charge to see why there was such a difference. Turns out I was charged an "exam" fee for the vet to look at the bumps on my horses ear and sides. This would not be so upsetting if it the vet had written a prescription or given me some advice on what to do. Instead there was a 3 minute conversation on the aural plaque in my horse's ear (advice do nothing) and "oh these are probably insect bites" on the horse's side (again advice do nothing). Pretty expensive three minutes.
