Orangeburg Art Gallery & Studio is a new business, established in 2011. Located in historical downtown Orangeburg, it is a venue for modern-day multicultural artwork that is innovative, essential and unique, with a focus on enhancing Orangeburgs arts perspective. The owners, Alvin and Bretta Staley, turned a vacant, historic building into a successful and unique art gallery & studio. The 2,112 square-feet of galleries and studio spaces are arranged so that collectors, patrons, students and artist can easily access the variety of services available to them. OAGS promotes the utilization and enhancement of visual literacy in the creative expression of ideas, feelings, and social concerns. Primary emphasis is placed on exhibiting the artworks of professional, amateur, and student artist during our monthly rotating artist exhibitions. We also provide simplified instructions for art students, art-related career seekers, and art patrons to becoming better problem-solvers through art classes, summer programs, and workshops.
