I was amazed when I sat at the bar waiting for friends to arrive for dinner at the fantastic selection of wines as well as scotch/whiskey list. Our meal was great - I had an authentic Irish Stew, it was very tasty. My friends had the burger and Shepards Pie which they liked too. We all really loved the home made bread that came with the Pie and Stew. Wow.
Came back a few weeks later for their Thursday night music session which was great. Sat at the bar and pizza and some pints (14 taps-nice!) this time around. Pizza was really good, they do this great wheat-like crust. Will totally be making this a regular stop. (Hide)

As it is, I'm happy to drive a half-hour to get there. This is a touch of real Ireland in Wisconsin, a breath of fresh air amid the host of diddle-dee-dee places that have sprung up lately. The owners are from Sligo, and memories of their home are all about the place. The mood is casual, friendly, and (almost) always calming. Food will surprise you; there are always some surprisingly sophisticated choices in among the sandwiches and fish fries. Try the cheese, or some seafood. Desserts are often amazing. They pour a good Guinness, but they'll also be happy to pour you a good glass of wine or an Irish Whiskey. Music on Thursday night from locals; otherwise, it's kept quiet for easy conversation. Owners are just the nicest people. Check their site to find out how to get around the construction in Oconomowoc. Really, give this place a try. (Hide)
