The Group for Women prides itself on providing health care to the women of Hampton Roads for more than four generations. In the summer of 2005, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the practice with the publication of a history of our 100 years of service Now The Group For Women's professional staff includes 10 physicians- , two nurse practitioners, a nurse-midwife and a marriage and family therapist. When you include support staff and nurses, the group numbers 50 in all. And they are a close-knit group. The Kempsville office lunchroom is a midday gathering place, where staff catch up on each others personal lives and vacation plans, as well as swap work stories. When a staff member is pregnant, there is a luncheon. When a staff member is getting married, there is a luncheon. When a staff member is leaving, there is a luncheon.
