Great... but NEVER open!!
I graduated '98 from UD. Grew up in Delaware, educated at Delaware. My family still lives in Newark, and I... (More) I graduated '98 from UD. Grew up in Delaware, educated at Delaware. My family still lives in Newark, and I occasionally go home and crave some Cleveland Avenue Sub Shop!! Unfortunately, it is NEVER open! I have heard the recording saying "we are currently closed... we will be open normal business hours..." so many times I cannot count. And these are daytime hours. Usually weekends between 11AM and 8PM, b4 I go back to work on Monday. Just a large Italian Sub on the way out of town on Sunday at 1PM with some Mozz sticks would be nice! If you can get the food while it is open, it is exceptional. Myself though, I have gone to the dark side, Capriotti's. The subs and steaks aren't quite as good, but they are open more than 3 hours a day. I don't know the exact hours because Cleveland Ave. has a sorry little site (better than nothing I guess) with no contact info or hours. If they catch up and stay open, at least normal business hours 7 days a week, I'll go back from Capriotti's.  (Hide)
