This store is so great, and I understand that they sell online as well. My mom used to bring me there when I was so little (oh my god am I getting that old ? ) It's like going back to the 80's, its not fancy, its not fancily merchandised, the sales people are not uptight model types, and it just makes me feel very comfortable to always go back there. They must have every style of dance shoe made !! When I was there last time they were doing Pointe Shoe fitting for some NYCB dancers. I really think that it is the best selection of leotard and dance shoes anywhere. I highly recommend them.

My nine year-old orders from Onstage Dancewear on Madison Avenue in New York City. They have the best selection of dance outfits and accessories we have found, and she loves their tights, leotards, ballet slippers, skating dresses, gym-wear, dressy sweater outfits,fairy costumes and wands, and ballet bags. She even has a colorful coin skirt. Every time she gets ready for ballet or tap class, she has a smile of anticipation of feeling "special" in her Onstage Dancewearoutfits and shoes. She even has tap shoes, flamenco shoes, a flamenco skirt, and flamenco red leotard, with castanets and fan.If my wife can't find what my daughter wants online, she calls the store, and they'reextremely warm, helpful and courteous. They have even kept info on file for future orders, and they describe items in detail for me which is much appreciated. When I asked my daughter what she'd like to say about Onstage Dancewearin New York, she said "I love their dance outfits!".

Wow, What a great place. The store looks small from the outside but inside it's filled wall to wall with a ton of great items and good prices. They have a lot of shoes in the store for men, women and children. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about the products. If your looking for dancewear I would stop here first because they most likely have everything you need.

New York City's best dance store, bar none (and I've been to most of them.) They have an incredible selection and the staff is accommodating without being pushy. I've also placed several custom orders and they arrive quickly. Definitely recommended.
