      T he New Castle Sailing Club owns a fleet of sailboats that are moored in the Delaware River off Battery Park in New Castle, Delaware, from May to October. Cooperative ownership, an unusual arrangement for a yacht club, offers members the advantage of virtually unlimited opportunities to sail without the high costs and time-consuming work associated with individual boat ownership. The expense and effort required to maintain the club fleet are spread over the entire membership, keeping each person's share low. For experienced sailors and interested novices alike, the club is by far the most affordable and convenient way to enjoy sailing in the Wilmington area. Continue...
