HOW WE WORK Job Training for Beaver County is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that provides employment and training services for Beaver County economically disadvantaged in-school/out-of-school youth, welfare clients, adults and dislocated workers. Funds for these services are provided under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) legislation. FUNDING ALLOCATIONS AND PROGRAM INCOME WIA was enacted in 1998 and stipulated that the Governor of each State designate workforce investment areas. The Ridge administration designated the 3 counties of Washington, Greene and Beaver to jointly establish services for area residents. Local Elected Officials of said counties authorized and approved the Chief Elected Officials Agreement that jointly established the Southwest Corner Workforce Investment Board and named the Washington Greene County Job Training Agency, Inc. as fiscal agent and administrative entity for the Southwest Corner Investment Area. The agreement also designated Job Training for Beaver County, Inc. as the entity responsible to carry out program activities as the Workforce Investment Title I Operator with Beaver County. Job Training for Beaver County employs 21 individuals, including four (4) management and seventeen (17) staff members. Seven (7) staff members are located at the Center Township Administrative Office, 277 Beaver Valley Mall, Monaca, PA. The Workforce Investment Act that funds operations requires that Title I operator must have a presence in the local One-Stop recognized in Pennsylvania as the CareerLink. As such, remaining fifteen (15) staff members operate out of the Beaver County PA CareerLink, 2103 Ninth Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA. All of our services are provided at the Beaver Falls CareerLink office located at 2103 Ninth Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA. To find out more about our services, we invite you to visit the CareerLink office or call 724.728.4860 and speak to Rich at extension 222 or Pat at extension 221.
