I am writing to say how disappointed I am in your advertising of the movie "Australia". I have been planning to take my wife to see the movie "Australia" for some time and the Mobile Press Register has consistently advertised show times as 1:00 pm and 8:00 pm. We decided today (January 1/09) would be a good time to see the movie at 1:00 pm. We arrived at Wynnsong 16 on Schillinger Road at 12:55 pm to see the 1:00 pm showing, only to be told that there is one showing - at 9:40 pm !!!!!!!!!!!!! Having grown up in Australia, I was really looking forward to seeing the movie and showing my wife where I lived. I am > 50 years old, have a demanding job which requires me to be at work early in the morning and the 9:40 pm show will just not work. Based on this experience, I will have great difficulty in recommending your movie theater to anyone in future. I give one star only because of the courtesy provided by the person selling the movie tickets.

Why is it that they have several concession stands and half of them are never open? The lines are outrageously long, and the staff mulles around like they would rather be somewhere else. Can we at least open all three concessions at the front entrance?

I feel it is necessary to report this because I own my own business and we can't know everything. I also understand that it is hard to get good help but with the cost to go to the movies being so high, I feel the need to be treated with friendly and speedy service. I must say, I have started going to a new theater across town instead of Wynnsong, which is not even 5 minutes away from my home. I really wish I could start going to this one on a regular basis. As if the prices of movies wasn't already high enough. This theater now charges $8.25 for an adult ticket and $5.25 fpr a child. They jacked up the prices for Meet the Robinsons to $10.25/adult & $7.25/child. This is way to much especially if you have a large family!!! I have actually always preferred this theater in Mobile but not anymore. I don't care how nice the theater is...you can go buy your family a couple of movies for cheaper than they want to charge you to watch this one movie. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED that they are BEING GREEDY and OVERCHARGING people!
