PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL. Please do not send your child to this day care if you care for about the SAFETY of your child and are looking for quality care and education.

My older son just graduated from L&P this past summer & he was there since April 2010. Our town only has a 2 hour program for pre-school so luckily I took advice from a previous teacher who lives near us & kept him there till Kindergarten started. We just had our 1st parent/teacher conference at the elementary school & were told that he is ahead of the game, a leader, everyone wants to do what he does, and an amazing helper for class projects! I give all the credit to L&P's teachers and admin since our kids are fortunate enough to be with them almost 10 hours a day. One of our most memorable moments is him explaining the yoga poses that Ms. Madhu does with the class - he still does them every so often! I know most parents complain that kids at daycare get sick more often. Yes this might be true but once their little bodies goes through all this (which seems like you're at the doctors office all the time) they end up fighting off germs better when they get older.

Do not place your children in this daycare. The administration is only concerned about looking good and making money. The emphasis is not on the children or what is best for them. Children are moved up to new classrooms before they are ready so that new children can be registered to the center.

Like every place this one has its positives and negatives and since I am always trying to focus on good things, I will start with what I loved about this place. 1. Nice, pleasant and caring teachers and administrative staff. 2. Clean, bright and open facility. 3. Extended hours schedule with all meals provided. 4. Very affordable price, but not as affordable as it used to be. That very affordable price comes of course with other price you have to pay. The deal breaker for me was the set up of groups in this daycare, seems like children were shifted into different classrooms with new teachers every 6 months or so. My child was asked to move to other classroom being there only for two months. It was a straggle not only for my child but also for parents. I think it would be much better if the same teacher could have the same group of kids from infant to 3 and 3-5 year old. That would build the sense of stability for kids and parents, something what is so important at early age. So, this

I have one child who spent 2 1/2 years at this daycare and 1 who spent 2 summers in their amazing camp program. Prior to finding L&P I had had children in or visited 5 other daycares in the area and L&P is the best by FAR! The classrooms are very nice, the teachers wonderful, warm, and caring, and the administrators are familiar with and provide feedback for each of the children in the center. I got divorsed at the end of last year and my daughter's teacher, without my even asking, made sure to spend extra time with my child and even designed a few activities with doll families to show how all families are different. Because of his activities she found out that one of her best friends was going through the same sitution in his home. I love this place and have to say I don't even believe the review about the abused child. There is an open door policy and any parent can come in at any time. I have come in at random times and always found happy kids engaging with awesome teachers.

They have the same quality facilities of the large national day care centers but because they are independent they care more and the cost is substantially lower.

As a teacher at Learn and Play Daycare and I can assure you these allegations are completely false, Learn and Play is an amazing day care center the teachers are all very nice, caring and qualified. We have CPR certification as well as training courses for anyone who would like to further their knowledge ALL have a love for children all ages. The comments that were written dissing this center were 100% false and exaggerated to the biggest degree possible. The person who wrote those FALSE ACCUSATIONS was upset for being told to leave the center after they made a huge scene while the daycare was running and children were present which is inappropriate any parent that i have spoken with has had nothing but NICE things to say about the teachers the director and administration LEARN AND PLAY IS A GREAT DAYCARE & IF YOU ARE READING THE COMMENTS BELOW JUST COME IN AND SEE FOR YOURSELF BECAUSE YOU WILL BE PLEASANTLY SUPRISED AT HOW COLORFUL THE CENTER IS & HOW NICE POLITE AND KIND THE STAFF AR

We have 2 children enrolled in Learn and Play, and we have been happy with the daycare. The children's teachers have been wonderful. The classrooms are very large and modern. They have 2 really great indoor playgrounds, as well as a small outdoor one. They always have a "theme of the week" such as "silly hat week". Very cute! They also have additional activities such as soccer tots and tae kwon do (additional fee). The Tumble Bus has also paid visit to the daycare. Like any other daycare, your children are with a lot of other kids all day, so they can come home once in a while with bumps and bruises. They can also come home sick. But I would say this is the norm with daycare centers. My children luckily have not been hurt at school, just a bump with another child one time and I was called right away letting me know of the situation. My children always come home from L&P very happy and with lots of artwork! Daycares in general can be crazy places, but we feel L&P is good!!

01/08/2011 This is bottom line the wost school! Don't be deceived by the fancy classrooms and 24 hour surveillance. My child was coming home with multiple bruises all over her body, when I had questioned the school they came up with a bunch of excuses. About a week after I noticed the bruises the school called me to have her picked up because she got scratched in the face. When I had arrived my child was hysterically crying she told me other children had beat her up. I was beyond upset, I talked to the owner of the school and she said no one had seen it happen. I was even more mad at that responce because all that it was telling me was that she was not being watched. The owner of the school said that she would talk to the teachers and the children's parents. Only a week after we had another episodes of this abuse, the same children had attacked my child biting her hand so bad to the point she was bleeding! I got a frantic phone call from the school that I needed to come to the school.
