(More) I've been to Peru, so it was a real treat to find an authentic Peruvian restaurant here in Milwaukee. The service is a little slow, the elderly owner (Victor I think) is the staff, but slow, leisurely dinners are the way they do it in Lima. So, maybe he was slow like this when he was younger, I don't know. I do know that the food is delicious, I've been back to sample many of the entrees, they've all been quite tasty. The decor is a little odd, it's like eating in someone's house, well, because the restaurant is a house. But although this keeps the place from being what I'd call fancy, instead, it feels cozy and inviting, a wonderful little place to spend an evening with friends, or for a nice intimate dinner with someone special. I've eaten here by myself and not felt at all uncomfortable. If you're new to Peruvian food, it's really Spanish (not Mexican) influenced seafood, try any of the shrimp dishes, or saltado for meat and potatoes. Parking is easy, on the street in front. (Hide)
