Sorry to hear the negative review of these beans. Everyone tries to save money, but its bad when you take a cheap product like beans and economize them.
My grandmother had a great bean recipe from the depression. They taste similar to the original Grandma Browns. They are Grandma McQueeney's. She fed 12 people with a pound of them.
Soak 1 pound Great northern or Navy beans overnight. drain, and rinse. Replace with clean water to cover beans. Slice 1 onion in. Bring to boil, boil 1 hour. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix 1 tablespoon flour with about 1/3 cup water and stir into beans along with 1 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon margarine. Spray a 9 inch by 9 inch baking pan with pan spray and add bean mixture. Cover and place in preheated oven. After 1 hour, turn oven temperature to 300 degrees and bake 1 more hour.
Let beans sit for about 15 minutes before serving. If you want a real treat, stir in 3 cloves sliced garlic with onion; omit margarine and add 6 slices cut up and softly fried bacon with drippings before beans go in the oven. Enjoy!

I HAVE BEEN USING YOUR SOUP FOR MANY YEARS. Quality control was the only problem. Two many beans or two much water. I had bean soup last night for supper and it many pieces of choped up shiny plastic. The first spoon full had three. All told there were ten or twelve. I had a piece som time ago. I buy the soup at Market Place Honeoye falls and he will have to know . Some times he makes a special trip just to get it fore me. Some one in your business is making you trouble

We now live in Kentucky and missed these beans. My brother in law sent 12 cans to us. 45.00 later and they are awful. No longer the best beans. I don't know what you have done but you took a great product and ruined it. I cant imagine taking an awesome product and destroying it. Too bad I sure wont order anymore. I used to brag about your beans to people here and even gave them some when we went back to NY and brought them back and they raved about them. Im mad and embarrassed to even offer anyone any of these things now.

Grandma Brown's Baked Beans and soups are the best on the market. We are from Buffalo but live in NC now. Always stock up when we go back to the WNY area. Wish we could get them through Harris Teeter or Food Lion
