I took my family here for a special event on a seafood buffet night. I'm not usually impressed with seafood on a buffet being from a fresh seafood area in Florida. The service was personable and professional. The restaurant was very clean for a buffet style of service. I was very impressed with the southern customer service I've came to experience since I've relocated to middle-east TN.

If you like barely warm food, this is the place for you! Even the fresh food, that was being brought out, was not hot. Totally not worth $9 per person. The manager, Bobby, didn't seem to care. Will never go back.

managers name was Bobby and he was very rude ,unprofessional. I didn't eat my food because it was nasty ,I didn't wanna pay for nasty food.Well his reply was if you take anything off the bar you are paying for it and then threatens to call the police and upon exiting he was trying to block the door like he was some prison guard or something . I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone . Bobby should not even be close to management because he was rude and ignorant and unprofessional and made a scene in front of the restaurant . We only wanted my meal taken off because I didn't eat like everyone else in my party did. We were more then willing to pay for what was eaten. All I can say is the manager needs a reality check and to be removed from that position it's absolutely disgusting what he put me and my family through while I'm here trying to visit my grandma and have a good time. I hope someone reads this and is just as blown away as I am because I will NEVER eat this place ever again.

Got two to-go buffets my wife is handicapped and rarely gets any type of take out. I was told one price for seafood, one for meat and two. I got one of each , in modest amounts. When I tried to get it bagged up they went through it like I was trying to steal something, Then they said " you have a piece of steak in your lower priced buffet" I didn't understand I said " you said one price for seafood, one for meat and two" they said sorry we forgot to tell you the only meat that applies is the fried stuff and you have steak" which was more like a Salisbury steak. I paid my $40.00 after being treated like a criminal, and I will never go back.

I whent to farmers family restaraunt in Msnchester it was a little crowded but wow the food was realy good the staff was very pleasant and knowledgable about items on bar and ingredients they used I saw a manager actually working she was restocking the bar and I also saw her go from one bar to the next

And what I realy liked is that she was smiling and very nice

I'v ate at the one in Murfreesboro a lot so I thought I would give this on a try since I live in Manchester. I am a bigger guy an the tables aren't really that close. Some of the food was bland but some of it was pretty good. It was all hot and warm to me. It wasn't really that cold to me either. Compared to the one in Murfreesboro it's not as good but it' still decent enough and I will defiantly eat there again.

TERRIBLE! It was so cold in that restaurant that I couldn't even eat. It was so cold that the food was cold by the time I made it back to the table. Nothing was seasoned. It was bland cold. Won't be going back.

I have heard about their store in Murfreesboro I was passing though on Interstate 24 and seen their sign and stopped. it was roughly 7pm and it was not very busy. The tables are grouped very close to each other. The person who sat us was very nice smiled and gave a warm welcome. Our server was also very knowledgeable on prices and got our drink orders promptly. The food on the buffet was looking like they were getting ready to close as some of the meats on the bar were looking not so fresh. I am more of a vegetable person so I was very happy with the selection on that but my friends were disappointed on the meats as this was a Friday night.



There was some kind of meat on the end of bar but apparently NO ONE to cut as we asked the girl who was dressed like she worked in the kitchen, who went to get someone for us TWICE and came back saying the Manager is the one who we were waiting on and he asked that we be patient for the meat to be cut!?!?!? my friends sat down to return for the meat as the manager has no sense of urgency for waiting customers. The Manager who eventually came to cut the meat was an older black gentleman. I would not be writing a negative review if it had not been for this Manager. We could see straight into the cooking area and he had been standing there on his phone while we my group was waiting for him to come cut the meat. With a sour taste in our mouths from his lack of urgency for Paying customers we continued to watch this so called manager for the rest of our dinning experience. He cut the meat not as you stood there but at his convience so when there were any cut it had gotten cold. He spent the rest of time there walking around on his cell phone in the middle of the dinning room which shows he has no concern for his Job. He finally posted up at the cashier stand 30-25 mins talking to a younger very pretty cashier who also had her phone out and they were both looking at her phone laughing and joking. We watched a table who wanted to pay stand there while the Manager distracted the young cashier, they stood there patiently ........ seems to be what customers have to do when this manager is working ........ to cash out when the family spoke up to get their attention.....



All in All I would not go to this restaurant again. For as slow as it was Management should be me attentive to the customers they do have.

The first time I ate at Farmers, the dining area was so crowded and you had to literally walk sideways to get to your table between the chairs. Then today I ate there again. It was like a morgue in there. It was so cold my nose was running. I brought it to the waitress' attention. I also brought the problem to the attention of two other people. They said they would tell the manager. Nothing was ever done about the problem. I told my waitress before I was ready to leave to tell the manager that I didn't want to pay for my meal because I didn't go in there to eat cold food. My food got cold before I could even eat it. The manager finally came out and ask what was wrong. I told her that I wasn't going to pay for my meal because my food got cold before I could even eat it. She apologized and said she had no control over the air conditioning. This seemed like a lame answer to me. Needless to say, she comped both my friend's and my ticket. It wasn't that hot outside either.....mid 70's. Shouldn't have had to go through this ordeal just to eat some lunch.

Excellent food and service. If you haven't been in a while, go try it! They've really improved.

The seafood buffet line looked good. The food was barely warm and was generally tasteless. I would not return, nor would I recommend this particular Shoneys to anyone.
