Apple Tree Preschool and Academy is located off Sudley Road, close to Prince William Hospital. Programs offered: Infant and Toddler care, Preschool, Junior Kindergarten, Kindergarten and before and after school enrichment. Apple Tree Preschool and Academy is accredited by the National Private Schools Accreditation Group, Inc. The Apple Tree curriculum is designed to meet the developmental and educational needs of the young child. Virginia’s Foundation Blocks for Early Learning guides us in the literacy, math, science and social science concepts that are developed in our Preschool and Junior Kindergarten programs. Our programs are designed not only to meet, but also to exceed the Virginia Standards of Learning. Apple Tree features 14 active, newly renovated classrooms, a new age segregated playground for infants, toddlers and two year olds, a very large playground for the older children, and a new garden breezeway. The school was established in 1978 with the goal of offering a variety of programs focusing on developing the whole child. Apple Tree’s child-centered program reflects the integration of physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and language development. The school offers enrichment programs and a fully accredited private kindergarten education. Spanish, Funky Fitness, and Kindermusik classes are offered weekly. On-site piano classes and ballet are optional. Some of the upcoming special events include, Apple Tree Town where students become entrepreneurs of their own grocery store, animal clinic, pizzeria, or construction zone, Kite Day, Grand-Parents Day, and Community Helper Days. Extended Care is offered for elementary students for the convenience of families in the public school district. Schools serviced are: Hayden, Pennington, Mayfield, Metz, and All Saints Elementary. Extended Care students are provided a nourishing breakfast and afternoon snack. Hours: 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
