I have taken my pets to Dr Hartnett my entire life starting with my 1st cat at age 3. He is caring and knowledgeable. He is a true animal lover and treats his patients with respect. I would not hesitate to recommend this vet to anyone.

Our oldest dog Heidi, a loving and faithful golden retriever was hit by a car almost 8 years ago. Her prognosis was grim. She had a broken leg, her kidney had been dislodged and was somewhere up near her spine. She was in terrible , terrible shape.Our neighbor, a dog lover and parent to three wonderful labs, helped me gather Heidi in my car and said that I had to take her to the closest and best vet. Her vet was Dr Hartnett. I took her at her word in this stressful time.Dr Hartnett was busy with other patients when we arrived, dropped what he was doing and gave Heidi 150% of his attention. Long Lake Veterinary Clinic is the premium of care for our four legged family members! We drive quite a bit from our home to bring our beloved pets to this clinic because they could not get any better love and care anywhere else in the Twin Cities area. I have used Long Lake Vet Clinic for 20+ years and I love Dr. Hartnet. He has saved one dog from death and helped with 3 others. I cannot recommend him higher. I have been to other vets ( while living outstate) and found them to be into the money more than the dog.
