They usually have good food with fairly high quality. It is the times we visit and things aren't close to perfect that we remember fondly the "good ole days." It is probably true that many things don't stay the same forever, and things don't always improve. The care and attention that Vals used to give their restaurants and food certainly has slipped over the years. Maybe it is a case of too "big" or too "much." I remember when we would stand outside in the cold and/or heat for 2-3 hours at the 35th restaurant and think nothing about it because of the quality and taste we would receive. Times have changed a bit, and we regret the change.  (Hide)
