I live in Lawrence and have volunteered in the community for 20 years. The Penn House and social services director, Kyle are simply the BEST non-profit service agency in Lawrence, Kansas. They have empathy,compassion and total understanding for the needs of people struggling in the community. Kyle with Penn House has helped me when no other organization in Douglas county would by going above and beyond all my expectations to help me in my greatest time of need.

This is the best place here in lawrence i am a widowed mother of 3 and this helps my low income family so much

The Penn House is a very good place to go to. They will help with anything that they can for you and the community.But sometimes they get the shaft from the Ballard Center and their director.s. that everything goes to the Ballard Centerabaut let me tell you that the director of the Penn House is an caring person.
