The statue was sculpted by Christian Petersen who came to Iowa State in 1934. The statue was made in the likeness of Charles H. Stange, then Dean of the Veterinary College. The statue of the 'Gentle Doctor' has become a member and a symbol of the Veterinary Profession. Why Are We DifferentA warm friendly environment is very much a part of Dr. Pribyl's approach to Veterinary edicine. We provide our patients with an environment that suits their sensitive nature. We also advise our client on the nutritional needs of pets, preventive health care and general home safety and maintenance. We have been recognized in the Veterinary Economics Magazine for hospital design.Because we spend 365 days a year here at the hospital caring for pets, we maintain an immaculate hospital with an atmosphere that is calming and soothing. We have voluntarily complied with the high standards of the American Animal Hospital Association and have qualified as an AAHA Member Hospital. We are accredited at the highest level. These standards apply to Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital's equipment, practice standards and management.
