SERVING TAMPA BAY'S HOMELESS PETS Our Mission: Protect and shelter sick, injured, homeless and unwanted animals. Find loving new homes for homeless animals. Educate the public concerning the humane care of animals. Assist in the enforcement of laws and ordinances for animal protection. SPCA Tampa Bay is an open-door animal organization. We do euthanize animals. Animal overpopulation is a community-wide (world-wide) challenge. No one animal organization can resolve this problem alone. Your support is critical: to adopt, to promote spaying and neutering, to teach good manners to your animals and learn how to handle the other end of the leash, to volunteer and to provide monetary assistance. SPCA Tampa Bay has been at the forefront of humane animal care in our community for nearly 70 years. Since our founding in 1940, our Board of Directors' policy has -- and will continue to be -- serving our community as an open-door admissions facility. The real community challenge is the huge population of unwanted, mistreated and abandoned animals. If you or anyone you know has a loving home and can adopt an animal, particularly one with special needs, please contact us or stop by for a visit. Or, if you would like to support us in other ways, there are many ways to help. Thank you for your ongoing support of SPCA Tampa Bay. With your help, we will continue to take in Tampa Bay?s unwanted animals and find permanent homes for as many pets as possible.
