About Us : The Laguna Beach Historical Society is an all volunteer non-profit civic organization dedicated to preserve historical information and artifacts of Laguna Beach and to and accurately disseminate information regarding the important heritage of Laguna Beach. It is particularly upsetting for those of us who love history to experience change. However, big changes have occurred at the Laguna Beach Historical Society. After losing long serving President Belinda Blacketer and her father Doc Blacketer, four people joined the Board of Directors in 2001: Gene Felder, J. J. Gasparotti, Willa Gupta, Karolee Hampton. They joined Anne Frank, Jane Janz, Eric Jessen, Ed Perry, and Nelda Stone. In 2004, John Hoover, Kevin Spencer, Vern Spitaleri, and Kimberly Stuart joined the Board.
