This is a tough course not because it is long (which it isn"t) but because you cannot just slap the ball around here. You need good shots. THe smart golfer will use his irons when possible. Don't miss #3, #5, #8, #15, and especailly 17 from the T-box which is elevated! Youc an drive, fly or boat into this fun golf course.
The people who run the snack bar where lunch and breakfast are available are friendly, but the guy they call the "pro" is a young kid and he is not very friendly at all. In fact, they would be better getting an older retired guy who loves life instead of this sour kid.
Staying in Deerfield for a weekend or a week long vacatio is great. The marina is nearby (big launch fee though of $10!!!) and to rent a slip is skyhigh for the week. You can launch your boat for free just around the corner and if you don't mind a 10 minute drive, the marina to the east is best. (Hide)
