My wife has been sitting here crying because our home is in disarray. American Living took 12 weeks to "complete our home". They didn't even start on it until 5 weeks after setting it on the basement. My wife had asked the construction foreman if he would contact us once a week to keep us updated, His reply, " I am too busy to do that." We moved in 6 weeks ago and have been waiting for punch list items to be done. No contact with American Living. Two of the employees admitted that they were slow rolling our house. So we sit here with boxes still unpacked. Stuff not being able to be put away because they are "going to be back" to fix the things that are wrong. American Living and Ritz-Craft play the, :not my fault" and so we wait for resolution to many problems.
Quality is not as good as we were led to believe and feel we were misled on their construction quality.

Recommend you get your own construction company if you do decide to use American Living.

I would think twice before buying a house from American Living. Don't be sucked in by the nice house. Once they sell it to you, good luck having the job finished. They say they will show up a day and no show. They tell you what you want to hear and do different. We did not get the door we ordered for the front of the house and then they wanted to charge us for another door. The house sat there and nothing was done about our heat. They still have not started on our drywall and next week is a holiday so you know nothing will get done. They were supposed to start our porch yesterday and hmm guess what there sits the lumber and not a soul showed up today to do anything. They tore up our yard and said they would fix it. Big surprise our yard is still full of ruts. When they give you a project manager, don't get excited, just a middle man. Not thrilled with American living at all!!!!
