RON CARTER WINGS OVER HOUSTON AIRSHOW TAKES TO THE SKIES OCTOBER 25 - 26, 2008 AT ELLINGTON FIELD USAF Thunderbirds Will Thrill Audiences with Powerful Demonstrations and Amazing Maneuvers HOUSTON (June 23, 2008) Mark your calendar now for the 24th Annual Ron Carter Wings Over Houston Airshow slated for Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26 at Ellington Field. This years featured military team is the worlds elite air and space force the USAF Thunderbirds. Celebrating 55 years of representing more than 500,000 airmen and women in the United States Air Force, the Thunderbirds continue to represent the best of the best. The teams breathtaking aerial maneuvers will defy the imagination as they exhibit the capabilities of modern, high performance aircraft and the high degree of professional skill required to operate those aircraft. The 2008 Ron Carter Wings Over Houston Airshow will also feature amazing acrobatic performances by Sean D. Tucker and Team Oracle, Julie Clark in the Chevron Mentor T-34 and Dan Buchanan as well as Flash Fire Jet Truck the worlds fastest Chevy Jet Truck and military demonstrations including the Apache AH64, USAF Heritage Flight, A-10, F-18, USN Legacy Flight, USCG Daulphine HH65C, C-17 and much more. Thanks to the community, the Airshow is celebrating its 24th year of entertaining audiences and furthering its mission of aviation education, said Bill Roach, executive director of Wings Over Houston Airshow. Tickets for the 2008 Ron Carter Wings Over Houston Airshow go on sale May 1. Advance tickets are $15 for adults, $4 for children ages 6 through 11 and free for children 5 and under. Reserved Prime-View seats at the 50-yard-line are $40 and include reserved parking and a show program. Eagle Squadron Hospitality tickets are $125 and include reserved seating, catered food and beverages throughout the day, reserved parking and a souvenir cap, program and poster.
