      I will be forever greatful to the Hillsboro rescue. On a recent rescue in which I was having a heart attack, my heart stopped. I was brought to life by the professional team and rushed to Concord Hospital for emergency surgery. I am lost for words to express my gratitude to the rescue squad that saved my life and also to the citizens of Hillsboro for providing this invaluable service. Thank you from the bottom of my newly repaired heart. Grateful

      The Hillsboro Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the town of Hillsboro, N.H. It serves the population of 6,000 residents and covers an area of approximately 42 square miles. The department maintains an inventory of fire engines, aerial ladders, tankers, ambulances and utility vehicles. The department employs more than 40 people and provides its employees with training related to fire management and emergency medical services.
