Even if the restaurant is mostly empty, if you do not have a reservation they put you in the very back of the restaurant. They sat 3 of us ( all 50+ years old) at a table with 5 young children, with 3 of them under 4 years old. It was totally chaos. One woman started her dinner, wanted the scallops cooked more, and just placed them back on the grill. It was disgusting. The server said nothing; we stopped eating. When I told the manager he did not understand me, or pretending he didn't. We will never return. The Board of Health would put them out of business.

new years eve was the worst

New years eve at the veiws at mount fuji was the biggest rip off ever. The cocktail hour consisted of warm soft shrimp cocktail, mushy spring rolls, beef on toast points that were cold, the wait staff would bring these around to the tables of 10 peaple but the would only have 6 or 8 on the tray so not only was the food bad but they didnt have enough of it after that They called table numbers to tell you when to go up to the buffet that was supposed to be all you can eat but when the call you up a table at a time it doesnt work. that being said none of it was any good anyway everything was cold, overcooked and we couldnt find the filet mignon, the lobster was like rubber. We were told that the salad was not being served until the buffet started who wants salad at the same time as the buffet? Not enough bartenders, and the staff were not frendly. For $125 per person the could do a lot better.

Mt. Fuji is an amazing experience. However, I found it pricey and an exact copy of a place identical near Central Valley called Gasho. Both places have identical dinner services with Mt. Fuji having by far superior looking grounds (at a price; well it's free but with the cost of the services you're paying for it). Anyone from New York visiting Mt. Fuji, I'd encourage you to continue on NYS thruway to exit 17 and visit Gasho (it's almost half the cost for the same experience). Oh and the glasses of soda are three times the size of that served at Mt. Fuji at almost $5/glass. My family of 3 spent a whopping $145 at Mt. Fuji while for the same service we spent about $70 at Gasho in Central Valley, NY.
