      Founded in 1945, Aetna Ambulance Service Inc. is a locally-owned and operated company, which provides emergency medical service and paramedic service to Wethersfield, Rocky Hill and the southern portion of the City of Hartford. It also provides non-emergency services to the region's eight major hospitals, medical and skilled nursing facilities and residences throughout the Greater Hartford area and Farmington Valley. Aetna Ambulance Service Inc. offers a wide range of services, including basic life support, advanced life support paramedics, bariatric ambulance transportation and licensed wheelchair coaches through its own wheelchair division. It has over 100 employees and a fleet of 25 vehicles.
