This is the loudest train I have ever heard. I had a nearly fatal accident in 2007. I moved to Harrisonburg almost 2 years ago and this damn train has caused me to become physically ill. Being so close to homes and buisnesses the horn should not be so loud. It runs on Sundays even on Mother's Day. The gates weren't put down on that day until right as the train was approaching . There was a train close to my house in a small town in PA but not so loud I had to wear ear plugs or go to another room with a loud fan to drown out the sound. I have been in the hospital because this train's horn was just too much .
