This fabrication shop has no knowledge of properly covering customer's painting and preparation technique specifications. Most pressure vessels do not get properly sandblasted even though they are billing for SSPC SP6 specification. The vessels we have received from MIDCO have been obvious that no primer coat was performed even though they are billing for such. Pressure vessels built by MIDCO only include a top coat of a low grade paint that does not last more than leaving their facility. Vessels put in service and heated up to operating conditions start showing signs of rust immediately.

Their equipment is not properly sandblasted, prepped, or primed. Most equipment has only topcoat.
