I would never let my child go here again

I decided recently to pull out my child from Creative Arts due to the owners. They were harsh to my son. Every time I came in he was sitting at the front table with his head down which I did not like and he told me how Mr. Jason had bullied him and use excessive force on him. When I ask the owner what the problem they were always insisting that it was my son. Also ask them if my other child could enroll there who was 2 they said no but had there child at the center at all times. I felt that she was more focus on her child when she was there than the other kids. The only thing that I enjoyed about the center is the staff they inform about any homework problems that were occurring I believe there was four of them.

Great afterschool program

My 8 yr old has been going here for 5 months and enjoys it. I'm surprised by the bad reviews as I have not had any problems. The only "harsh" words that have ever been spoken to my daughter were in my presence whan Jason overheard me fussing at my daughter for lying to them about having homework and not doing it. Jason asked if he could speak with her and informed her that he was disappointed in her and excepted her to be honest and do her work. I appreicated the support and she hasn't done it since. They are great about being opened on holidays and bad weather. Which is great for me as a single working mom. I need a dependable daycare that will be open no matter what. The only problem I have found is that when the schools have an unscheduled early release day for snow, they can't always pick up from all the schools. This is understandable because it is unscheduled, but it is a pain to leave work and relocate my child to the daycare. My daughter and I have enjoyed Creative Arts Kids.

Wonderful Program

I am astounded by any negative reviews. Obviously these are from someone with an unpaid bill or axe to grind. My daughter attended Creative Arts for over 3 years and my son is in his third year. We have attended preschool, summer camp, afterschool, and drop in. I pop in at different times for dropping off and picking up and the children are always happy, teachers and owners always easy to talk to, and parents are always happy. I know from experiences with soccer and at school that the only time someone says outlandish things like I am seeing here is because they are not getting their way or are living in another reality. The owners are great at developing children, making them feel safe and teaching them responsibilty, My family has greatly appreciated everything they have done and I know a lot of families feel the same way. As far as the bullying comment, I know for a fact that they do not allow children to be bullied ...to the point where they even refuse some families service if parents or children are consistently inappropriate. They stand up for what is right and I feel blessed to have this safe place when I cannot be with my children. I have watched parents come and go and the ones that are gone are probably the ones asked to leave or certainly not encouraged to stay are the very ones writing shameful things as a coward in a review. All I can say is those who stay are happy and those who are gone me and my kids never miss. Don't let anyone tell you anything bad about this business. Go see for yourself, you can tell what a great place it is.

Incorrect Punishment

They make kids walk on their knees for the rest of the day if they talk to loud and the teachers do absolutely nothing about children bullying each other.

unprofessional owners! not recommended!

About the middle of April my daughter began having problems adjusting to sitting down and eating lunch with the other children at the school. The 3 teachers (Jennifer, Bree and Alti) worked with her kindly, showing her respect and tried to assure her that it would be ok. One day a few of the staff were away and the 2 owners Amy and Jason stepped in and were kurt and harsh with my daughter, unnessarily. They as a team ganged up on her. She still talks about those few days. It's one thing to disicpline a child for acting out and another to be harsh or kurt when a child is sad or traumatized. After speaking to a few of the staff, the common conclusion was that this did not help my daughter, but only made matters worse. Jason (who has absolutely no child care experience or schooling) tried to tell me it was her entire behavior that was a problem, but all 3 teachers told me she just had a problem at lunch. Basically she wanted me at lunch time. When I spoke to Jason about it, he kept insist

Grateful Parent

The owners are so patient and kind. I have a child with special needs and they are very willing to work with us and always have been. Wish there were more people out there like Jason and Amy. They also have very sweet teachers working with them. So grateful...

Great experience

My daughter has attended CAK for over 5 years. We have been nothing but pleased. The kids have their homework complete, classes in all sorts of things done, and plenty of socialization all before I get there each evening. Most importantly, she loves it there and always has. To the person whose child didn't attend field trips: it is probably due to your child's behavior or you dropping off to late. These are the only reasons I have ever known anyone to be held back from a trip. Personally, I applaud that approach. My daughter never had to suffer through long trips with other students that cause problems like she does at school. The staff are VERY good at making sure those who do what they are supposed to are not brought down by those who make things hard for the others. It does say in the contract that field trips are for full day campers.

Great experience

I am currently taking my sons there for drop in I have signed them up for summer camp. Eventhough, they are only dropping in right now, the staff still includes them in dance class, tumbling class, and art class. The boys love it there. It has been a real blessing to find a place that does so much and are so kind to my kids.

I would not recommend this facility

I would not recommend this facility. The staff was very unprofessional and the Greenville location is way too small to do all the activities that the owners claim to be able to do. They have no outdoor area for play which is so important for kids who have already been in school all day. There are other much better options out there---just keep looking before you choose this one!!! Good luck
