I was shocked to open the delivered box of flowers at my daughters wedding. The bride’s bouquet was horribly wilted and the roses were bruised and tattered with brown tips. The bouquet was one of wrapped stems of pink roses and a white hydrangea delivered in a glass vase with water, the water in the vase had quite a brown hue to it. Six bridesmaids over the arm sprays were very warm to the touch wilted and had broken stems. I was the one to open the box and handle the sorry looking flowers and I did so with great care as I hoped that we wouldn't have to scotch tape stems together just to get them down the aisle. I have many witnesses to attest to the fact that the flowers were promptly opened and the church was nice and cool. If the flowers came damaged to forever flowers from their supplier why didn't they run to another store or florist and get the pink roses to provide a quality product to the wedding? We ordered the flowers months before the wedding in good faith expecting, at least, fresh flowers. How could forever flowers put their name on such a poor product? I've seen better flowers at Food Lion and Sams even Aldi's had better looking flowers than what were delivered to the wedding. I have to say the mothers and grandmothers, sweetheart pink roses, as well as the groomsmen’s flowers, white roses, were fresh and looked good. This causes me to think that it was not in the delivery that the flowers were damaged but inferior or old flowers were used as only the pink roses and the white filler in the maids’ flowers were damaged to even the most novice of on lookers. Lose rose petals we ordered and planned to scatter on the tables at the reception did not arrive at all. Unfortunately we opted to use flowers as the cake topper and those were also in a stressed and wilted state. You can’t just do over a wedding or the pictures with many out of town guests. We have pictures to prove the condition of the flowers and I must say that I’m appalled at the mess we received from Forever Flowers.
