About White's Metal Detectors Whites Metal Detectors of New England is the largest full-service metal detector supply company in New England. Our wholesale business serves more than 100 stocking dealers who sell Whites products in their stores throughout the six state region. He turned his hobby into a full-time career in 1978, when he was hired by a local Whites distributor in Wakefield. In 1985, Paul assumed distribution for all of Whites products, and Whites Metal Detectors of New England was born. Paul successfully grew the business until his passing in 1992. From there, his son Mike took the reins and developed Whites into the regional leader it is today. After operating out of small store fronts in Newton and Watertown for 13 years, Whites moved to a new, 4,500 square-foot facility in Framingham in December 2008. Our large showroom and warehouse are located in the same building, allowing us to offer customers unparalleled service, selection, and convenience.
