About Us Holy Cross Church is located in Fairview, a beautiful community in northwest Pennsylvania, on the shore of Lake Erie. Holy Cross was the first church in the Erie Diocese to be built using the guidelines established by Vatican II. The parish was created by Archbishop John Mark Gannon in May 1963, at the request of Fairview's Catholic residents. The faith with which the parish was founded has continued to grow with each new generation. Ours is a vital community of caring, sharing people of faith. As our mission states. Holy Cross is a community of diverse people, rooted in a heritage of faith, united by the Eucharist and the Word of God. Following Christ's example, we seek through a variety of ministries, to know, love and serve one another.
