I had called to see if they were hiring and needless to say the manager named Katy was not professional at all. The employee who answered the phone had more professionalism and people skills than her. I had politely asked her if her store was hiring knowing that the Gamestop in Fairhaven was because of calling every Gamestop in Fall River, Dartmouth, Seekonk and Swansea had told me so. When I had asked her , she hesistated and then replied she was just taking applications. I was confused because about 6 other stores said that Fairhaven was the only one that was so then I had asked her if there was another location in Fairhaven of Gamestop that I was unaware of so I could call. That's when she hung up on me.I wasn't even calling for myself, being a woman , I know it is very hard to get a job in a male dominant place like that without knowing someone who already works there, so I was calling for my boyfriend. I was shocked when she hung up on me but I was even more shocked when I had called back and said I was sorry , we must have been disconnected and she didn't say anything to that. I quickly finished my question of if there was another Gamestop in Fairhaven that I could call and see if I was the one mistaken but she quickly said No and hung up again on me. If jobs were not so hard to find and keep then I would not suggest my boyfriend to apply or even work there and its unfortunate that if he did get the job then that he will have to work in an environment like that one. Especially that the Manager is the one who seems to have no personality, respect, professionalism or work ethics at all. If anyone else had a problem with the manager Katy then it should be addressed to HER boss and see if the company wants to have her still be a role model to the employees , customers and more importantly in their business.
