Volunteers of America is The Place to Turn. For families, children, seniors, and adults with developmental disabilities, Volunteers of America Western Washington is The Place to Turn for those in need. In fact, 350,000 times a year people in need turn to us for assistance. Volunteers of America is the largest human service agency in Snohomish County and we serve 8 counties in Western Washington. We are an affiliate of a national organization, governed by a local board of directors. Specifically, we: Help Families in Crisis, Cultivate Promise in Children, Empower Independence for Seniors and Adults with Disabilities. Whether we are delivering food to a homebound senior, providing rent and mortgage assistance, or providing a child with the tools needed to succeed in school, we are there, answering the calls for help from our community's most vulnerable neighbors. This includes our Community Resource Center that provide food, housing, and support in North Seattle. This facility houses the Greenwood Food Bank, Senior Companion Program, and Disability Services. VOA also is a resource for licensed child care. Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) takes the guesswork out of finding quality child care. We offer access to a professional Parent Information and Referral Specialist to discuss your child's needs, as well as access to the free On-line Child Care Resource & Referral Database.
